Crash landing

Once there was a bear who went by the name of Tortor. He was tall even for his kind and often found himself looking downwards at his peers. His fur was short and curly with the colour of milk chocolate and he had two black raisin dots for eyes. Despite his cuddly appearance, Tortor was not one who often smiled.

One day, while Tortor was sitting in his dark curtained room, contemplating existence and the universe, he heard a loud CRASH. "Hmm..." he thought before he got up and trudged towards the crash. Upon opening his front door, he found his lawn occupied by the better half of a giant turtle twice the size of his house. The massive reptile had its eyes closed and doesn't seem to be moving any time soon so Tortor did what any sensible 5 year old would do and climbed the great beast. With his bear strength and long limbs, he quickly reached the top and found a glass dome on the middle of the shell. Inside of the dome was a giant egg.

"Cheese omelette."

So with his knife like claws, he cut a hole in the glass just big enough for him to wiggle through. The egg itself stood just as tall as Tortor did, much to the hungry bear's delight. His tiny eyes gleamed with greed and he made a quick grab for the egg.

It would not budge. With all his might, the egg wouldn't move an inch. Looking down, he discovered that the egg was latched on tightly to the turtle shell by three golden legs. Tortor let out a frustrated growl and began kicking at one of the golden legs.

THUNK. THUNK. THUNK. PFSSSSTTTTT....

There appeared a hole spiraling open at the side of the egg, right in front of him. Tortor heard a guttural screech then saw a flash of red. The next thing he knew, something or rather, someone, was chewing on his head.

"AHH!!"
